How To: Set up your Static IPUpdated 3 years ago

Having a static IP requires your internet connection to use PPPoE.

Using an Ethanet Router

If you ordered your connection with an Ethanet Router you will need to change the "Connection Type" in the Deco app from "Dynamic IP" to "PPPoE" - refer to step 11 on page 3 of the guide here. Then put "[email protected]" in the username field and "GetThereFaster" in the password field. You normally do not need to change any other settings on this page and can then press next. Then you can continue to follow the other settings from the user guide.

Using a BYO Modem

Connection Type: PPPoE
VLAN: 10 *Some modems place the internet VLAN settings under a label like "IPTV", "Multi service", or "IPTV/VLAN Settings".
Username: [email protected] *You can set the username to any value, but it must be set to something.
Password: GetThereFaster *You can set the password to any value, but it must be set to something.

If you do not know how to configure or check these settings in your modem you can tell us the settings you would like us to use, e.g. DHCP instead of PPPoE, or you can subscribe for an Ethanet Router. Just contact Priority Support by logging into your My Account.

Unfortunately, we cannot help configuring your BYO modem for you.
